Project Background

Proper choice of packaging for fresh fruit and vegetables is the key condition of sales growth of these products in EU countries. At present only 9% of fresh fruit and vegetables sold production  is exported from Poland.

Inferior packages are the main factor causing considerable product losses in the distribution chain of Polish horticulture produce, worth PLN 1 billion annually (during 2 last years).

Improper packaging for fresh fruit and vegetables in Polish market is a vital reason for bad phytosanitary condition of the packed product.
